Employment

To become a member of Local 988, you will need to apply and be hired to a position with one of the companies where we have a collective bargaining agreement in place.

Below is a list of the many companies where we have agreements. Click on the logos to be directed to the website, career page or current job listings for each company.

If you do apply for a position with a company where we represent the workers and you get called in for an interview, you will want to ask the interviewer if the position you applied for is a part of a bargaining unit. If you have any additional questions, we encourage you to contact us.

Alternatively, you can organize your current workplace and vote for union representation. (We can help you with that!)

Trade Shows, Construction, and Film & Television Projects

Local 988 also has limited employment opportunities available throughout the year for trade shows, construction, and film and television project personnel.
These positions are not permanent, full-time, positions.

TRADE SHOWS

If you are interested in working at local area trade shows, you will need to come to our local union hall at 4303 N Sam Houston Pkwy E, Houston, TX 77032 and sign the book.  We encourage you to sign our book once a month for as long as you are seeking employment.
