Barriers to Getting Help
Nearly half of people experiencing a mental health disorder or crisis do not receive professional help or treatment. Barriers to timely care can include financial concerns, social stigma, difficulty finding qualified providers, long waits for appointments, time-consuming assessments, and the belief that they should be able to solve their problems on their own.
Asking for help is a sign of strength—not weakness.
